I’ve used the ADM Recon mount for several AR’s from a Vortex Viper 1−4, to a 34mm Burris XTR II 5−25×50, to an XTR II 1−8. Every single mount did exactly what it was designed to do, and it did that very well. Scope mounts securely, and it is an RTZ (Return to Zero) mount. Meaning the mount can be removed and re-mounted without affecting your weapon zero. That, in my opinion, is the mark of a finely machined mount and what separates ADM from the lower quality mount. This is a very well made mount. A couple of keys when installing this mount - be sure to tighten the bottom ring bolts first. Then tighten the top. Then I torque the bottom screws around 22 IN lbs. Spec calls for 20−25 in. lbs. I usually split between the two values. If you need to adjust the tension of the locking lever, just push against the locking lever and the adjusting nut will be exposed so you can tighten it. Take careful attention to two things. 1. You don’t have to tighten it so tight that you need a hammer or to push super hard to secure it your picatinny rail. A nice snug fit is GTG. 2. When adjusting the nut on the backside of the locking lever, make sure you align the flat edges of the nut with the flat edges of the hexagonal recessed opening. If you don’t and you tight your lever, it will make pushing the nut out to make further adjustments very difficult (From experience on my first mount. Smile I definitely recommend this mount for any AR-15 or AR-10. Also, you can buy rings if needed for this same mount. When I went from a 30mm 1−4 to a 34mm 1−8, I contacted ADM and just picked up 34mm rings. ADM customer service has been very responsive and I appreciate their military discount.

I have been using this scope mount for almost a year now. Returns to zero every time I have taken off and put the scope back on my rifle. The range I frequent only goes out to 500 meters, and I am able to hit a steel ram in the head at 500 every time I’ve taken off and put the scope back on my rifle with this mount. You won’t go wrong buying this mount.

I liked this mount so much on my LR-308 that I bought another for my Remington 700 Stainless Special Mil-spec 5R .308. It now holds a Leupold Mark 4 8.5−25×50mm LR/T M1 Tactical Scope on top of my Tactical Precision Systems 20MOA cant S/A rail. I like this better than my standard ring set on the Rem 700.

This is my second ADM product - I own three mounts total now. I got this AD-Recon Scope mount with 30mm rings to mount a Burris XTR 3−12×50mm on my DPMS LR-308 flattop 24″ barrel. All I can say it that this mount is excellent.
